I'm Holding Out For A Hero!

So guys, I'm in!

I'm gonna be marching with Karla in the Mardi Gras this year and if I haven't mentioned it recently:

I'M REALLY FUCKIN EXCITED!!!

It's going to be so fun, so camp, so liberating and it fills me with such a sense of pride and excitement to be marching in the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras for the first time... especially alongside my great pal, Kpaff.

Check out how camp the Surf Lifesaver Flags in this pic! LOVE IT!

I'll be sure to take a THOUSAND pics and will let you all know how it goes. Wish me luck! I'll only be wearing speedo's, joggers and a spray tan, so I'll need all the luck I can get!!!

Love Tim x

Worlds Best Week

It ran from 31/12/2006 - 06/01/2007.

Within these days, I had beach, I had sun, I had besties and I had a wedding:

Friend of the twins, and now one of my A Team Members, Sarah Allen got married to Trev Gallagher in a beautiful reception and even more kick ass party afterwards.

Check out some of the sick times here

And look how pretty me and the twins look! Everyone, 1,2,3.... ahhhhhh

Holy Shit! My First Mardi Gras March!!!

As Vanessa Amorossi once said... Dare to Dream.

As a little poof, growing up in the central west NSW town of Dubbo, I always dreamt of making it in the big smoke. I dreamt of being an actor (tick - thanks to NHSPA) I wanted to work for a commercial radio station (tick that box both here and here) and I always wanted to be the son of Tick in Priscilla who gets to do the lights for the drag show at the end (yep - I achieved that one too, when working for the Imperial Hotel)
But then there was another dream. An aspiration, a hope. And one that I could soon be able to make real, thanks to my good friend kpaff.
That dream had me... buff and tanned, shimmying up the middle of Oxford Street whilst doing choregraphed moves to a Bonnie Tyler song and surrounded by gorgeously hot men... all while wearing speedo's.
Now, there's still a slim chance that this spectacular display of masculinity won't take place - but for now, let's say it will.
Thanks to Karla I'm going to be marching, alongside my work collegue and new addition to Tim's Terrfic friend circle Mark, in the Surf Lifesaving float for the 2007 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Check out the dance moves, listen to the song, perve on the boys and learn the words at http://www.lifesaver2007.blogspot.com
Now, I'm just heading home to do about 3,000 crunches, sit ups, push ups and run for about 3 hours. I have 11 nights to get a 6 pack and march alongside boys such as the ones below.

God Help Me.

Falls! Glorious Falls!

Well, it's been a month in the making, but it's worth the wait. Trust me... it's falls...

See?!!!

But I digress. It all started with a bunch of friends (we shall call them the extreme team)

Yep... that's us! And yep - that's me with my best assets on show. hehe. We piled into 3 tarago's to set off into the new year:

Except for me, cause I flew via Melbourne/Geelong and caught up with my ex, Glen. But in doing so, QANTAS made me over 2 hours late and they lost my luggage. Yah... not impressed.

But once I got my bags back, I was as happy as larry! I had a beer in hand, put on my dancing shoes and started partying. The weather was ace, the music was hot and the crowd was in awesome form. We got in the thick of things on several occasions:

It was heaps cool cause we were all wearing the "Give A Ginga A Go" T shirts, thanks to Sarah Gallagher (nee. Allen) marrying Trev just after the falls festival and he's a red nut... so naturally we had people coming up to us all the time. We met some craaaaazy cats:

Like this man (we named him Wally) was a ginga himself. Lots of other people said "Hey! MySister's a ginger! Can I get a photo?" Random, yes...

Then there were the bands.

Eskimoe Joe, Wolfmother, Michael Franti and the Spearheads, Hilltop Hoods AND THE PURPLE SNEAKERS DJ'S!! were all highlights.

So was John Butler Trio (above), when I thought it was a great idea to jump on the shoulders of Glen-20 and throw my rainbow flag-slash-belt up in the air like I just don't care:

So just as I started getting cheers from the crowd, some chick just near me rips her top off and starts flaunting her tits around. How can a skinny gay man compete with that??!!

Randomly, we got a lift from some old man in a ute back to the campsite one arvo. We all piled in a sped up the track - making jokes about how it wasn't actually Falls Creek but Wolf Creek and this guy was actually Ivan Milat. Anywho, we get to New Years and the same old guy gets on stage with Wolfmother and the Hilltop Hoods to count us into the New Year. Yep - turns out that old guy actually owns the Falls property. How funny!

Yep, then it was New Years. And then it was incredible - sparklers, hugging, dancing, D&M's which lead to happy tears, doing skidding races on chairs in the DJ area that we DOMINATED! Pashing, chewing gum and lollipops, flirting, meeting randoms, more dancing, and lots of love being thrown around.
L-R Xanders, Alex, Simone, Me, Kendall, Tahnee and Glen 20.
And there still is lots of love being thrown around... I love my brothers and sisters more than anything. The extreme team ROCKS!
See you cunts there next year!!
